So this question came to me from a dear friend, who is among many wonderful things, a very busy mom.
What kind of application is available for busy moms who just don't have the time to do a full application but still want that put together look?
This is a great question that I feel could benefit any busy woman who just cannot take the time to apply makeup! Busy moms especially since they often put their family first!
The most important base for this quick and easy application is skin care. The truth is, the better your skin is, the less make up you need to apply. If you get into a proper skin care regimen, just as you would brushing your teeth, this will be no problem to complete.
But don't fret! This is not the end of my answer!
Here are some great, easy to apply products that will allow you to get your makeup done in five minutes or less!
There are 3 applications that are easy to do and take no time at all. Foundation powder, mascara and lip stick/gloss/balm. If you find you have the extra 2 minutes, add in a little blush and simple corner of the eye eyeliner. But I'll get to that.
I always recommend wearing some form of foundation. The two main reasons for this are to a, prevent the environments pollutions from seeping into your pours, and b, to help keep additional makeup from being difficult to remove (mascara, eye liner, blush). I recommend giving powder foundation a try. It's effective, easy to apply and often contains SPF, which we all know help keep those harmful UV rays at bay. 30 seconds.
Getting the right mascara will make your eyes pop without the eyeshadow, and will still allow you to look put together! 30 seconds.
Always, and I mean always, apply some form of lip gloss or lip stick! It finishes the look and if you don't have time to add blush it always adds a pop of colour! 15 seconds.
If you have an extra 2 minutes, take the time to apply some blush and colour to your eyes. Of course, if you have this time remember to apply the colour to your eyes before the mascara. Sometimes putting on eye liner takes a steady hand and more time then you have, might I recommend using a fat liner or eye shadow liner to enhance your eyes just that little bit more. This should take another 45 seconds at most!
So for a recap:
1. Foundation Powder
2. Eyeliner or Eye Shadow (outside edge)
3. Blush
4. Mascara
5. Lipstick/Gloss/Balm
Hope this helps!
Stay tuned for the tutorial and my top picks for this look that won't break the bank!
