Corrective concealer is something you should always have on hand. Unless you are one of those blessed people who never get acne, I may or may not hate you right now, you will find a use for the good ole green stuff!

Corrective concealer generally comes in 2 different colours. Green and Yellow. Since we are focusing a lot on adult acne or acne in general this week we will be discussing the green kind!
I know what you are thinking! Who in the right mind would put green on their skin and leave the house with it on???? But I promise you it's tried, tested and true.. AND it won't actually look green when you are done.
For this post we are going to take a trip back to grade nine art where we learn all about the colour wheel. Artists use the colour wheel to determine what colours will brighten, darken or neutralize each other.
In a colour wheel, red and green are opposites, meaning green is complimentary to red, which means it will neutralize the red or tone it down. Since acne is red, green corrective concealer is the perfect antidote for keeping it's colour at bay.
If you have a very severe case of acne, corrective concealer isn't always going to do the trick. I would recommend seeing a medical professional or at least attempt to find out why the break out is so severe.
Stay tuned this week for my tips on covering blemishes and my write up on what may cause acne in the first place!
Take care!
